Moving cursor on iPad

  • when you are editing the text, touch the screen with two fingers and wait for a bit when the screen is changed and start moving, the cursor will move according to your fingers
  • if you hold for a longer time, it will change to the selecting mode and you can select the text by moving your fingers

Excel - reset the last cell on a worksheet

  • To select all columns to the right of the last column that contains data, click the first column heading, press <ctrl><shift><right>
  • To select all rows below the last row that contains data, click the first row heading, press <ctrl><shift><down>
  • On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click the arrow next to the Clear button, and then click Clear All
  • Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Save
  • Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Close
  • When you open the workbook again, the last cell of the data should be the last cell on the worksheet

Export Word Doc to PDF with Word for iPad

In the Word document:
  • Click the Share (right) icon (the one with a person and a + sign)
  • Select "Send Attachment"
  • Select "PDF"
  • Select "Send a Copy"
  • Here I found a few useful options, send to Google Drive (may need to click "More" to enable it), Gmail and "Save to Dropobox", etc.

iPad connects to weak WiFi network

I found one very interesting fact... my work place has a very weak public WiFi.  My iPad normally doesn't able to see and connect to it.  But once I connect a Bluetooth device (either my MacBook Air or even just a bluetooth keyboard), I am able to connect to this WiFi network.
